Summary: I blame the cold and flu drugs. I really do. I have no better excuse! I am off my head on pseudoephedrine and woke up with this in my head. Forgive me! Please forgive me!
“It’s alright.” Ratchet held on to the heated door panel, stroking the trembling corvette. “Just let it cool.”
Sideswipe shuddered, breathing heavily as he tried to crane to look at the design. “Thank you for this. You don’t know what it means to me.”
“I think I do.” Ratchet soothed, tenderly brushing his fingers over the edges of the weld. “It means you’re home.”
Sideswipe looked away, trying to hide his flushed fenders as Ratchet wrapped an arm around him, placing his mirrors so Sideswipe could see the design. The weld was still settling with the plinkplink of cooling metal but he could see it now – the Autobot symbol, picked out it elegant relief on his lower right door. “Thank you.” he sighed, feeling complete despite the pain. “Thank you so much.”
Ratchet pressed a hand to his burning cheek. “Welcome to the family.”

Date: 2010-04-14 12:05 am (UTC)I don’t think I’ve watched the cartoons since I was little so I have no idea where this came from. Are Ratchet and Sideswipe a weird combo to ship? I really don’t know enough about the fandom, it just kinda happened.
