Fifty word prompts – Sanctuary.
Fool, Henry/Ashley, G, for Tiwtin.
“Henry? The sonic gun’s a dud.” Ashley dumped the remains of the weapon on the bench with a thump that didn’t even raise a glance from Henry.
Thumb-nail between his teeth, their resident tech seemed a million miles away.
“Earth to Henry.” Ash called, waving a hand in front of his face. “Anyone home?”
Henry snapped back, looking for Ash to the mangled weapon. “Shit Ash. Sorry.” He ducked, waiting for the fireworks that usually went off when her gear failed but for once she seemed cool about it.
"Don’t sweat it. It wasn’t like I go jumped by anything big and scary...other than Steve.” Ash watched as he started to drift off again. “So what’s happening in that brain of yours? I’ve never seen you this vague. Except for that one time...”
Henry growled quietly, daring her to bring that incident up. “I’m fine. Nothing wrong with me.” He muttered, chewing on his nail once more.
Ash let it slid for about half a heartbeat before making a stab in the dark. “So what do you think of the new guy?”
There was a painful click as Henry bit though his nail. “Seem nice enough.” He stuttered, scrambling for a bandaid. “He’d getting the hang of the abnormal thing faster than most.”
“Kinda cute too.” Ash knew she was right when Henry smacked his head on the underside of the desk.
“I guess.” Henry muttered darkly. “If you like that sort of thing.”
Ashley laughed, leaning in to press a kiss on Henry’s cheek before smacking him up the back of the head.
He yelped, rubbing his abused skull. “What was that for?”
“Because Henry Foss, you are a fool. Will’s cute, smart and available. Stop pretending you haven’t noticed and ask him out!” she smiled dangerously, “Man up or I’ll do it for you.”
“You wouldn’t dare.” Henry growled.
“Wanna bet?”
Magnus yelled at them both to settle down as she passed, seeing Henry make a grab the discarded splat gun. She had no idea what had set them off this time but the sibling fights between them almost always lead to destruction. Maybe Will would be a settling influence on them both...
Time, Will/Helen, G, for Tiwtin.
Will wondered into the library and scanned the shelves. It’d been drastically quiet around the Sanctuary lately. With Henry and Ash away from the week, visiting another house, there was almost literally nothing happening.
Restless and bored, he climbed the well worn library ladder, running his fingers over the spines of the books. As he shifted a volume on Iranian folklore, another book slipped from the shelf, scattering photos and scraps of paper as crashing to the floor.
Cursing under his breath, he slid down after it, scooping up the fallen pages. One image caught his eye, a sketch of Magnus dressed in a dusty safari suit, her hat in hand as she smiled at a man holding some Egyptian artefact.
“Cairo, 1922.” Helen said quietly, leaning in the doorway. “Howard was so excited.”
“Tutankhamun’s tomb?” Will asked incredulously.
“Hmm.” She nodded, taking the drawing from him, her fingers skating over the profile of the young explorer’s face. “He was like a school boy that day, so sweet and eager...”
“Do you miss him?” Will asked, studying Helen’s expression.
“I do.” She sighed, looking up at Will. She for a moment she moved as it to reach out to him, as if to touch his face as she had done to Carter’s in the picture but she stopped, drawing back. She gathered the book and its many fallen memories, hugging it reticently to her chest. “So many years...I miss them all.”
Cool, Henry/Nikola, PG, for Tiwtin.
Nikola grinned, watching the young werewolf’s bright expression as he ran his hand over the steel surface of Henry’s work bench, sparks trailing in the wake of his fingers.
All around him, machine and gadgets, Henry’s creations danced and lit up; feeding off the crackles of energy Tesla gave off.
“That’s so cool.” Henry muttered under his breath, watching as his favourite remote control car screaming across the floor.
“My dear boy.” Nikola purred, trailing his fingers off the bench and up Henry’s chest. “That, is the least of my tricks.”
Henry’s reply was lost in moans as Tesla’s sparks arched though his clothing, lighting up his several piercings.
Nikola purred as Henry crumbled against him, wrapping a steadying arm about the young man’s waist. “I do so look forward to showing you.”
Naked, Will/Henry, PG, for Tiwtin.
“Stop that.”
“Stop what?” Will asked, not taking his eyes off his lover. Henry was sprawled out over the bed, his body slick with sweat from their exertions.
“Stop looking at me like that.”
“Like what?”
“Like you’re reading me Will. Like your freaky little brain is analysing my every reaction.”
Will cocked his head, still not taking his eyes off Henry. “I thought you liked my freaky little brain.”
Henry growled, grabbing Will’s outstretched leg to pull him closer and break his concentration. “I do but...”
“But what?” Will asked, his tone softening as he moved down the bed to lie at Henry’s side. “Does it make you feel uncomfortable?”
“Well done genus.” Henry muttered sarcastically, humming as Will’s fingers carded through his chest hairs. “It makes me feel naked.” He conceded quietly. “Like you can see everything going on in my head.”
Will smiled a little sadly, twisting meet his lover’s eye. “I just what to learn the best ways to make you happy. I’m sorry that I make you uncomfortable.”
Henry tweaked a smile at Will’s heart-wrenching sincerity. “So? Developed any theories Dr Zimmerman?”
“A few.” Will grinned, brushing his thumb over Henry’s nipple ring in a way that never failed to make the werewolf moan.
“Well,” Henry started, pulling Will on top of him, moaning again as his lover straddled his hips. “Maybe you should consider being a good scientist and put them into practice?”
“Gladly.”

Date: 2010-04-12 10:24 pm (UTC)Truly a set of beauty, well worth the strange looks being given to me by the other occupants of the cafe as I sit and blush at my computer.
