Clark/Bruce Wait for kirax2

I find these two beautiful in their dichotomy. Hope I’ve done them justice.

Clark spread his hands over the broad, expanse of Bruce’s shoulders, pressing gently on the tight knots of bruising hidden beneath the suit.

“Don’t.” Batman growled, his voice tight and controlled but Clark could hear the underlying pain.

“Why not?” Clark chided gently, using his heat vision to warm Bruce’s skin though the latex. “Bruce please? I saw you fall. Even I couldn’t have taken that as quietly as you did.”

Batman pulled away, catching Superman’s hands in his own as he turned to face his friend and ally. “Wait. Not here.”

Superman used the vigilante’s grip to pull him closer, the wind catching his cape to furl around them both. “Embarrassed to be seen with me?”

Batman’s smile was grim and tight. “Not at all.” He let his hold on Clark’s wrists drop. “But if I’m going to have your hands on me,” he whispered darkly. “I’d rather be out of this suit.”

Ooooh, *very* nice! The Clark/Bruce dynamic was what got me into comics fanfic in the first place. I think you did a great job of capturing them!

ETA: I think this would be well-received at the worlds_finest comm. ^^
