Finishing the meme of death!
Jan. 24th, 2010 06:04 pmHey Gentlefolk.
Thank you all so very much for the support and prompts. I’m almost finished my 50 word table and it’s been a great adventure but I’ve got nine left.
Please, please, please help me finish this?
With your consent I promise to post all the fics on their appropriate communities.
Thank you all again!

Inspector Detector/Racer X #28 Fortune
Date: 2010-01-24 11:37 am (UTC)They lay together on the twisted sheets, both their bodies sparkling with sweat, their chests heaving with shared exertions.
Racer X looked his new lover over as David Detector rolled onto his stomach, stretching out to relish the subtle ache of his overused muscles. So long they had danced around each other, so long they had let their desires stew, neither willing to concede to a passion that might risk their professional relationship...
Until tonight...
A close call, closer than either of them had every come before drove X into his superior’s arms, kissing his taciturn commander with heady abandonment.
Rather than being thrown back or punched, the rejection X expected, the tall blond kissed him back with a passion and fervour matching his own.
Coltish and clumsy as teenagers, they fumbled their way to X’s flat, falling together into the racer’s unmade bed.
Here in the warmth of afterglow, X had a chance to reflect on all the things he’d never expected of the mysterious David Detector.
The tattoo for one. X had expected something small, if anything – a regimental tattoo perhaps, on his upper arm maybe but not this....
X traced the subtle shading and bold lines of the design that covered David’s back. His fingers spelling out the words he could not read. “What does it say?” he asked, surprised by the loudness of his own voice in the quiet of his room.
“Luck doesn’t come for free.” David replied gently, arching up into X’s touch like a cat.
“Why?”
David shrugged, taking X’s hand and bring it to his lips, gentle touches after their night of rough and passionate play. “Dame Fortuna doesn’t favour the unprepared.”
X’s smiled, moaning softly as David bit softly at the skin of his inner wrist. Inspector David Detector was a beautiful mystery, and one he was more than willing to dedicate himself to unravelling.
