Hey Gentlefolk.

Thank you all so very much for the support and prompts. I’m almost finished my 50 word table and it’s been a great adventure but I’ve got nine left.

Please, please, please help me finish this?

With your consent I promise to post all the fics on their appropriate communities.

Thank you all again!

I’m not great with het but I hope you like it.

Will wondered into the library and scanned the shelves. It’d been drastically quiet around the Sanctuary lately. With Henry and Ash away from the week, visiting another house, there was almost literally nothing happening.

Restless and bored, he climbed the well worn library ladder, running his fingers over the spines of the books. As he shifted a volume on Iranian folklore, another book slipped from the shelf, scattering photos and scraps of paper as crashing to the floor.

Cursing under his breath, he slid down after it, scooping up the fallen pages. One image caught his eye, a sketch of Magnus dressed in a dusty safari suit, her hat in hand as she smiled at a man holding some Egyptian artefact.

“Cairo, 1922.” Helen said quietly, leaning in the doorway. “Howard was so excited.”

“Tutankhamun’s tomb?” Will asked incredulously.

“Hmm.” She nodded, taking the drawing from him, her fingers skating over the profile of the young explorer’s face. “He was like a school boy that day, so sweet and eager...”

“Do you miss him?” Will asked, studying Helen’s expression.

“I do.” She sighed, looking up at Will. She for a moment she moved as it to reach out to him, as if to touch his face as she had done to Carter’s in the picture but she stopped, drawing back. She gathered the book and its many fallen memories, hugging it reticently to her chest. “So many years...I miss them all.”

Glad you like it. Poor Helen has loved and lost so many beautiful boys like Will, must be hard to live with that some days.
