munninHey F-list.
I’m trapped at home by a fierce heat wave and feeling listless. I need your help to get me writing so I’m calling out for prompts.
I’ve got a board of ideas but need your help. Pick a prompt and a fandom or pairing and I’ll do my best to write it for you. I’m open to everyone – Tribe, Speed, Bats X-fans and anyone else who might find this.

Safe - Frank/Matt for ms_duck
Date: 2010-01-12 12:34 pm (UTC)The sound of the percussive sonic grenade overwhelmed Matt’s senses. King Pin was getting smart, feeling out his weaknesses and it was working. The sheer volume of it was like having the sun shined directly into his brain, destroying all hope of fighting his way free. Trusting only his sense of touch and his memory of the building, Matt cracked open his cane, readying the grapnel. If he could just get to higher ground till his head cleared.
There was a sharp sensation as he fired and the cable when slack in his hand. His jump line was cut. A blow to the shoulder sent him tumbling before he could ready the halves of his cane in defence. Others added to it, kicks and punches that left him no chance to find his feet.
And then there was that smell - the thick, coy smell of gunpowder.
Frank’s gunpowder. A blend as individual as the man’s own scent. Matt stayed down as bullets lanced across the room, feeling someone move close to him. A broad hand, callused and strong, rested on his throat, confidently seeking Matt’s racing pulse.
It didn’t matter that he couldn’t hear Frank’s words, or see the shadow echo of the older man’s form in the darkness. It didn’t matter that King Pin’s actions may have robbed him of more of his senses, even just temporarily. It was enough to know Frank was there. That was enough to make Matt feel safe.
